Dying-Light

Are cross-gen and crossplay supported in Dying Light 2?

Is dying light 2 a cross platform or have Crossplay? Given the game’s release In previous Month, players have been asking themselves that question often, especially since the multiplayer aspects of the title play a significant role through its attractiveness.

I’m sure a lot of you have already bought Dying Light 2 Stay Human, whether it’s for PCs or your Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

So, when facing a huge crowd of flesh-eating zombies, it makes sense to question if the game includes built-in cross-gen or crossplay functionality.

Unfortunately, console users cannot use crossplay platforms or cross-gen in Dying Light 2, therefore only PC players can benefit from Co-Op.

Since they gained a taste for it in games including Call of Duty, World War Z, or Days Gone, some of the most ardent gamers out there have made hunting zombies more than just a hobby.

For many, getting rid of these murderous parasites on the world, or what’s left of it, has become an art, and Dying Light 2 elevates the experience to a completely different level.

However, playing by yourself is less satisfying and exciting than playing with some buddies, which is why many people are wondering whether Dying Light 2 even offers crossplay and cross-gen features.

We can understand the confusion since many of you have probably heard that Dying Light allows co-op gameplay with up to 4 people.

Let’s get right into it and resolve this once and for all because if you are not a PC gamer, you might not like the answer we’re about to give you.

Is Dying Light 2 crossplay?

The unfortunate thing is that Dying Light 2 does not support crossplay. Only other gamers, not Series X players, can be played with by Xbox One users. If you and your friends aren’t playing on the same console, you’re out of luck.

Since we’re talking about it, you should also be aware that Dying Light 2 does not offer any sort of cross-gen gaming.

For the prevention of doubt, if you own a PlayStation 4, you cannot play with friends who may own a PlayStation 5.

As a result, Xbox One users who play with friends who own Xbox Series’s or Series X cannot play with Xbox One users who play with Xbox One, and vice versa.

And the best part is that this won’t continue to be the case forever. Techland has promised to make the game cross-play compatible. Unfortunately, there isn’t a timeline for such an update yet. Though ideally sooner rather than later will be the case.

In addition, PlayStation users have complained about encountering the Error CE-34878-0, which may be quickly fixed if you know what to do.
